Bronze Challenge
Can you get the hoop to spin on both your left and right arm?
Silver Challenge
Place both hands inside the hoop, with your palms together. can you spin the hoop around on both arms?
Gold Challenge
Can you spin a hoop on each arm at the same time?
Coaching Points
When you are catching the ball, make sure you have your hands out in front of you and you already have your knees bent so that you are ready to jump up into the air as soon as the ball is thrown. Timing is key to this activity so concentrate as you have two tasks to complete in a very short space of time; jumping and catching.

Stand 6 steps apart, catch 10 in a row
Silver Challenge
Stand 8 steps apart, catch 20 in a row
Gold Challenge
Stand 10 steps apart, catch 30 in a row
Coaching Points
This activity s all about controlling the power you put into your strike. A longer arm swing will increase the speed that you strike the ball with and make it travel higher into the air.
You will need:Bronze Challenge
Set yourself a time challenge to complete with your favoured hand. The big strikes must go above the height of your eyes and the small strikes must fall below the height of your eyes.
Silver Challenge
Set yourself a time challenge to complete with your least favoured hand. The big strikes must go above the height of your eyes and the small strikes must fall below the height of your eyes.
Gold Challenge
Challenge a friend to see who can perform the most big and little consecutive combination strikes.
Coaching Points
When you jump into the hoop, enter from the side of where your friend is holding. jumping forwards towards them could be dangerous if you fall onto them. Remember to bend your knees, swing your arms forwards and land with control. Start off with the hoop low and gradually increase the height.
